The main wall was planked using hardboard and then the entire area was painted in Gray Owl by Benjamin Moore. The shelves and brackets were painted in Annie Sloan Pure White Chalk Paint.
Here's where we started.
If you didn't know it you probably wouldn't think it was the same space. It's so much brighter now!

Love it! The space does not even look anything like the before! Are you going to paint the cabinets, too? I'm about to start that dreaded project. :)
ReplyDeleteAngela
yup. we plan to paint the cabinets eventually. I first need to decide what will be the best way to tackle that project. Sand and paint, Rustoleum Cabinet Transformations, ASCP, etc.

ReplyDeleteI love the brackets you used. I was looking for some a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't find anything reasonably priced. I ended up using some old shelves instead.

It looks amazing, Jessica! Beautiful work. :) Megan
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm trying to figure out what wall in my house to do the planking.
ReplyDeleteHi Emmeline, I'm a new visitor, over from Elizabeth & Co. I can see why you were chosen as one of the features! This is such an amazing transformation! I really love it. We have similar colors in our kitchen right now...the dull goldish/tan on the walls, and dark stained cabinets. I would love to do something similar to what you've done. I'm pinning this for future ideas. Well done, and I'll look forward to seeing all the details. Have a great week!
